- Which IPTV app should I use?
We all know the situation. You’re new to the IPTV world, or you’ve forgotten how it all worked. You want to receive IPTV, but where do you start? Which app do I install? These are all questions we’re frequently asked. In this article, we’ll help guide you.
Which device are you using?
First, it’s important to know/choose which device you’ll use to receive IPTV. This can be anything, for example:
- Smart TV
- Phone
- Tablet
- Set-top box/receiver
- Computer/laptop
All these devices have different apps. Below, we’ve put together a list for you. On this list, you’ll find the best app for your device:
Smart TVs:
Samsung: For Samsung TVs, we always recommend Net IPTV or Smart IPTV (this is not available on all Samsung models).
Philips: For Philips TVs, it depends on whether the TV runs on Android. For Android TVs, we recommend IPTV Smarters Pro, otherwise, we suggest Net IPTV, SS IPTV, or Set IPTV.
Sony: Sony TVs typically run on Android, so you can download the IPTV Smarters Pro, Flix IPTV, or Tivimate app.
LG: For LG TVs, we recommend the same apps as for Samsung TVs: Smart IPTV, Net IPTV, or in this case, also Duplexplay.
TCL: TCL TVs also run on Android, so you can download the IPTV Smarters Pro app.
Phones, Tablets, and Set-top boxes:
For these devices, it depends on whether they run Android or iOS.
On Android devices, you can choose from many apps. Our favorite is always IPTV Smarters Pro. This app is user-friendly, easy to navigate, supports catch-up features, and displays images for movies and series. A similar app is Xtream Player. If you want to cast from your phone or tablet to your TV, we recommend GSE Smart IPTV.
On Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV), you can choose GSE Smart IPTV or IPTV Smarters Player (though this version is less comprehensive than the Android version).
Desktop/Laptop:
For PCs, you have many options. There are dozens of apps. We personally use the following apps. They have all the features needed to enjoy live channels, movies, and series:
- VLC Media Player
- IPTV Smarters Pro
- My IPTV Player
